A Call to Miracle-Ear Could be a Lifesaver

Losing your hearing could quite possibly feel like the end of the world to some people: lovers of music and plays, giggles and laughter, rain and rolling waves. As the sounds begin to fade, it?s time to take the first step to hearing clearly again by visiting a Miracle-Ear hearing center to be tested and fitted for your ideal hearing aid. New Jersey has several Miracle-Ear stores including locations in Manahawkin, Brick, Whiting and Toms River, to name a few. Ron Kittner owns and operates these locations. Along with his educated and caring team, their goal is to help you live your life to the fullest. With the advancements in technology over the last few years alone, it is not the end of the world if you have lost some of your sound recognition.

There are a number of ways to slowly lose your hearing. There is Presbycusis, or age-related hearing loss, genetics, medicines, diseases and injury; however the most common (other than age-related) is noise-induced hearing loss. And, good news, Miracle-Ear can help almost every case of hearing loss caused by noise exposure. Noise-induced hearing loss can be caused by one of two factors, or both factors combined ? loud noises and reoccurring noise exposure.

Wondering if you have a little hearing loss? Think back a bit. Noise-induced hearing loss tends to happen 20 years or so down the road. If you or someone you love were ever in an occupation that might have included a factory, mine, automobile industry, bus driver or military, to name just a very few, you have hearing loss. If you spent time in the war, you should consider a test as well. Why? Continuous noise over extended periods of time can cause permanent hearing loss down the road. Even today, occupations such as hair stylists and dentists find that continuous noise is damaging. Luckily, the word is out, so OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requires certain industries to wear hearing protection. If you have not been protected and you find yourself with ringing or just an overall loss of perception, visit a Miracle-Ear hearing center for a hearing test to see if you need to be fitted for hearing aids.

Also, sudden, loud noise-induced hearing loss can become a burden. If you have been a hunter or policeman and have exposure to loud noises, you most likely, also suffer from hearing loss. What can you do? Visit a Miracle-Ear on the Jersey Shore to improve the quality of your life and those lives around you.
