A taste of twisted farm food will do every Rebel well

Hash House a Go Go is a unique eatery that puts a twist on old-fashioned southern dishes and greets you with southern hospitality.

As soon as my friend and I walked in the front door, we were greeted with a smile, given a table and waited on as if we were the only customers served.

?We pride ourselves on our customer service, it is the foundation or our philosophy,? said co-owner Brannon Rees. ?Also, the food has to be great.?

After getting seated, I ordered a drink ? a Strawberry Lemonade Margarita, and my friend Lana decided to take the non-alcoholic route and try their Kiwi Watermelon Lemonade.

Moving on to the main course, I opted for breakfast and ordered the Andy?s Sage Fried Chicken Benedict ? a perfectly fried chicken breast atop a homemade biscuit, freshly sliced tomatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs, a zesty chipotle sauce sitting on grilled mashed potatoes, topped off with a large piece of grilled mozzarella cheese.

Lana chose the Sage Fried Chicken & Waffles. The Belgium waffles had bacon baked inside and you could smell the warm maple reduction from across the table.

Both dishes were delightful, well prepared, seasoned to perfection and plated like a work of art.

Our food server Jess (who boasts about being known as ?Jess the Mess?) suggested the Mac & Cheese as a must try. So, who were we to say no? She was absolutely correct. A simple b?chamel cheese sauce and ziti-type pasta was divine.

With all that said ? Hash House a Go Go gets five out of five stars with great prices, portions that will leave you with at least one extra meal to take home and service that was outstanding.
